Briefly describe the project:  location, size, units, amenities

In the complex there are 20 holiday apartments, a manager's residence, swimming pools and a conference room as well as on-site laundry facilities.  The site has sea views, is steep on 3 sides with a drainage soak and is located right in the middle of Tathra village with many adjoining and overlooking neighbours.

What is special about this project?

Finding a solution that addressed the difficult site meant that as with all successful projects, turning negatives into positives was the key.  In this case, the challenges were looked at positively, for example the issue of stormwater was solved by turning the drainage gully into a landscape feature - an artificial creek with ponds at the top and bottom of the site.  As a result, all stormwater is collected and used on site resulting in a 40% reduction in water consumption.

People love the atmosphere of the place.  It is a happy and lively environment.  Return visits are made.  Everyone loves the landscaping and gardens, the pool facilities and the spacious but private unit designs.
