Uniting Church, Tathra

What is special about this project?

The brief was for a church that could also be used as a community hall.  The budget was very limiting.  It is not a church plan in the traditional sense, however the alter is in the centre with a skylight above it and an axis to the formal entry across the diagonal of a square plan.  It also contains a tea room, child minding facilities, toilets, and a sleep out basement for visiting school children.

What comments have you received?

Every one in the congregation loves their church.  It is light and spacious as well as refreshingly informal.
